This Abandoned House Was Swallowed by Creeping Fig… But We Kept It!
This Abandoned House Was Swallowed by Creeping Fig… But We Kept It! #creepingfig #abandonedhouse #cleanup #overgrown #vegetation
This abandoned house had been completely covered by creeping fig (Ficus pumila), with thick green growth spreading across the walls, roof and around the entrance.
But instead of removing the creeping fig completely, we decided to trim and shape it around the architecture of the house, keeping its unique green character while clearing away the unwanted growth.
After working outside, we moved inside the abandoned house to clean the dusty and damp rooms, remove old broken items and clear everything out into the yard and garden.
What began as an overgrown abandoned house slowly became something very different.
Watch the full cleanup and see why we decided to keep the creeping fig instead of removing it all.
