Muscle activation before training❕
🔸One of the main tasks of activation is to engage as many muscle fibers as possible during a specific movement. Of course, we perform it often unconsciously when we do warm-up series with little or no weight, but with a high number of repetitions. You could say that by doing so, we are traversing our movement pathways and the nervous system is stimulated so that specific muscles get a stimulus that activates them.
🔸Another important task of activation is a protective function. Activating the muscles responsible for stabilizing movements protects us from injury during training, and also increases confidence and control during exercise.
🔸Activation can also be used to unblock muscle structures that are hindering the proper execution of a movement by shortening their length. We can say that thanks to it we make it easier to perform the exercise technically correctly.
