CSX manifest train M332 heads eastbound through Homestead, Pennsylvania crossing Amity Street, on its way to Cumberland, Maryland. Filmed on October 29, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

This train was both exciting and disappointing for two main reasons. The first being that CSX 397 was trailing 3/4. This locomotive is significant because it is the only CSX locomotive equipped with a P5 horn, and it is on my bucket list to see leading. Hopefully I get the chance to hear it’s horn in the future!

The second reason for a trail fail was the 4th and last locomotive: a BNSF GEVO. It would’ve been pretty cool to see foreign power lead on this train as well, although I personally believe that 397 beats it simply because of how beautiful its P5 horn is. At least this M332’s leader had a pleasant horn too. Nevertheless, foreign power on any train, regardless of position, is always exciting.

Locomotives: CSX 5425, a GE ES40DC (1st gen K5HL horn), CSX 7219, a GE CM44AC (ex- CSX 281), CSX 397, a GE AC44CW, and BNSF 6550, a GE ES44C4

Length of train: 106 cars
