This historical old house dates back too the early 1800’s when it was built for a family of quakers settling in northern Pennsylvania. The house would remain in the same family for majority of its life until being sold in the 1960’s as the area was quickly becoming suburban sprawl. The house was bought by the local park service with plans of making the house a park office headquarters or a local history museum and lots of hiking trails all around. Sadly the plans for the house never happened as it was already in a advanced state of disrepair and has been deemed more expensive too fix then save it. The house was supposedly set too be demolished sometime in the next few months but I filmed this nearly a year ago so it may be gone already. Glad to have documented this beautiful historic old house. So many wonderful features inside like the running spring in the basement. Certainly would’ve been handy back in the day always having fresh water in the basement before the days of indoor plumbing. Truly a stunning old place that is almost 200 years old. Thanks for watching
