The Abandoned Ghost Road below the Railways
An abandoned road sits roughley halfway between Sheffield and Meadowhall in South Yorkshire.
Dating back almost 200 years when the first railway was constructed and opened, later followed by a second railway, this road with its bridge and short tunnel closed to regular traffic back in 2016, mainly due to flytipping and also being very low!
At just over 300 yards in length, this through route now only sees foot traffic and cyclists….
