While exploring this abandoned plastic factory, we discovered a French military tank inside of it! (Here’s more information on this tank https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panhard_AML) How crazy is that?! This factory was used to manufacture colored plastics from 1960 to the late 1980’s. It shipped its products all over the United States. In its prime days, up to 30 tractor trailer loads would come and go from this facility daily, picking up manufactured plastics and also delivering the materials to make them. When the plastics this factory produced became outdated, it ultimately affected their business and production, forcing them to close permanently – abandoning this vast complex along with it.
